Born and raised in Public Housing in Annapolis, Maryland Kojo upbringing was humble. Raised in a Public Squalor he was exposed to unfathomable explicit behavior. Although his mother raised him the streets undoubtedly had its share of lessons to teach him. Facing many odds and obstacles Kojo Snowden was deemed a lost cause by society. But being counted out was somehow used as fuel for the Warrior Entertainer. Where there had seemed to be no way, Kojo saw a way. More than local talent, he’s a star in his own right. He’s more than just a rapper, he’s a visionary, a writer, a storyteller, a teacher, a source of inspiration—a strategist even. Kojo writes with the pain, untold stories, hurts, and hidden truths of his listeners in mind. He’s been a champion with birthing his life’s experiences into song. Using his illustrative storytelling, with his stripes of wisdom earned through life and his strategic play on words Kojo aspires to inspire the world to think independently and to be themselves. Ultimately, he aspires to inspire the world to wear their crown. To journey, confidently the road less traveled. There are two kinds of entertainers in the world: those who go with the flow and then, those who are the flow. This Powerhouse is in a league of his own. Diligent in his work and honorable in character, Kojo understands the denotation of reaping what you sow, he also understands building a legacy. And so, when his pen touches paper and his feet walks the stage he operates in purpose, not popularity. Because of his inspirational talents he’s been invited to perform at an ample number of events for the youth, events to inspire unity in the black community, and more. Performing alongside legends such as KRS-ONE, Red Man and Method Man Kojo continuously remains humble through his many accomplishments with a passion to inspire.
